MAKING THE PIECES FIT:
PARTNERING AND FUNDING YOUR HUNGER MINISTRY TO CREATE LASTING CHANGE

SATURDAY, APRIL 6TH

9am -11am on ZOOM

Learn who your ministry program partners can be to help grow a comprehensive hunger program in your community. Learn the difference between a feeding program and a food hub. We’ll review successful ELCA Domestic Hunger Grants and hear about the 2024 grants process from a certified grant writer.

Register: Send email to synodhunger@gmail.com and tell us names of attendees and congregation/city. You’ll receive the Zoom link to the sending email address.

Join the Holden Village community to mark this sacred time with a Palm Sunday procession, Maundy Thursday communal care, Good Friday contemplation, a Holy Saturday vigil, and an Easter Feast. Folks of all ages are invited to take part in crafts, pottery, games, and an Easter egg hunt around the Village. Register for a visit over Holy Week and Easter

We invite you to attend one of our three Synod Educational Gatherings that will take place in three different areas of our Synod over three Saturdays: April 20, April 27, and May 4. In the morning, we will discuss together how to prepare for the election of a new bishop in June, 2025.

Where is God calling us as a Synod? What should be our priorities for ministry? As we envision this future, what kind of talents and values should a bishop have to help us walk the path ahead?

In the afternoon, there will be practical workshops that apply to our ministries.
