Shalom
Shalom breaks out wherever communities gather, where justice is practiced, where inclusion and welcome happens, where people envision and work for wholeness, peace and wellbeing for all.
Across Southwestern Washington, communities are witnessing shalom breaking out and are working to nurture it. As a Synod, as churches and as people, this is our calling.
In this space, we share glimpses of shalom from across our region.

Storytelling is a segment in our weekly eNewsletter. Every month we feature a story from and/or about one of our worshiping communities with the desire to inspire, inform and build community! Each story will first remain published in our eNewsletter for the duration of the month and will then find a home here on our website.
Do you have a story to tell? Contact us at swwsynod@plu.edu.

Celebrating our LGBTQ+ siblings
June is Pride Month!
We celebrate our LGBTQ+ siblings, repent of the pain of exclusion and rejection that the church has so often caused, and we envision and commit to working for a world of inclusion, welcome and respect for all.
We honor the place of LGBTQ+ people in our congregations and communities as beloved ones whose full presence, leadership, and wisdom we long for in our church and world.
